In MembersPRO, we have three types of courses that you can create:
- Public
- Public (purchase required)
- Private
Each of them is very different and will provide you with different features you can use within the platform. Also, once created, you cannot change the course type, so you must understand the difference between them.
#1 Public
The purpose of this course type is to create content available to all students. It is impossible to protect certain parts of the content, as everything inside the course will be accessible to all students.
#2 Public (purchase required)
This type is designed to provide content with different levels of accessibility. For example, some content may be available only to free students, while others are only visible to those who have paid for the course.
Customers often use this type of course by creating a few modules available to all students but with a link to purchase additional content. After the purchase, students gain access to the extra course material.
With this course type, you will get access to the permissions, giving you a world of opportunities you can do with your course material.
#3 Private
Content created in this course type will only be available to the students that made a purchase. Those students can only see this course if they're enrolled through integrations or manually by the course creator.
Now that you understand course types click here to learn how to create your first course in MembersPRO.
